Descending aortic aneurysm with large layer of thrombus inside the lumen.

A very old man who lays motionless in his bed for a long time. He has been hospitalized for severe abdominal pain and intestinal disorder with gas inflation in his abdomen. He was diagnosed with an aneurysm of abdominal aorta in which a large layer of thrombus is forming gradually and extending to common iliac arteries as well. As a matter of fact, the long thrombus layer was thought to be the cause of totally blockage of common iliac artery in this case. Moreover, we did not see any contrast media in common left femoral artery because it is fully covered with thrombus and wall calcification is also seen. In addition to, he also has small amount of pleural effusion and fluid in abdomen.
