A Case of Aortic Dissection

A very old woman came to hospital because of hemorrhagic urine. An abdominal ultrasound scanning and ct scanner have been taken and we found out that she has a abdomminal aortic dissection in the lower part of her abdomen.As you can see it is not difficult to recognise the aortic dissection. However, the problem is how to classify the aortic disssection correctly. In general, there are several classified methods. However, it is generally accepted that there are two types of classification in aortic dissection. Evidence for this is provided by De Bakey and Stanford. As you can see, it was categorised by the location of dissection actually. In my experience, De Bakey classification must be better because it is more detail then anything else. In sum up, having three types for classifying the aortic dissection. Please take a closer look at pictures below
