Continuous Medical Education Program in Neuroradiology at Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital in HCM city.
Dear all Friends.
We have just finished a week-long course in MRI( Magnetic Resonance Imaging, ulsually known by the abbriviaton MRI) that was held from 15 November to 19 November in 2010 at Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital in Ho Chi Minh city. We mainly focused on the benefits of MRI vs. CT Scanning and in Neuroradiology. At the meeting, we have successfully met a Prof Jacques Clarisse, a radiology specialist who comes from France and some experienced Vietnamese radiologists such as Prof Hoa Pham Ngoc, Doctor Tuyen etc. Prof has introduced some kinds of MRI’s signals such as T1 Spin Echo (SE), T2 SE 1 Echo, T2 SE 2 Echo, and T2 FLAIR for instance. “There are some new techniques that are known as Diffusion and Perfusion magnetic resonance imaging as a tool in order to solve difficult cases”, Prof said. It is generally accepted that, it is vital to do the last one before finishing the test actually.
There are some essentials in MRI that we need to know such as below:
1.Magnetic Resonance Imaging of structure and function of the Central Nervous System including the brain, spine, head, and neck.
2. Interactive Cases
3. There are some MP3 audio files those had been recorded during the workshop. You can download them directly from our blog.
